Lighthouse Cruise

This was a 90-minute trip past several lighthouses on islands off Door County. Door County and the Fayette Penninsula of Michigan's Upper Penninsula are both part of the Niagra Escarpment, as are the numerous islands between them. There are only two safe channels through these islands, the one between Door County and Plum Island and the one between Washington Island and Rock Island. As a result, there are many lighthouses - and particularly range lights - in this area.
