Downtown Pittsburgh seen at night from Mt. Washington.
The river on the left is the Ohio, and the two rivers coming together to
form the Ohio are the Allegheny and the Monongahela. At the tip of the
land where the 3 rivers meet is a state park with a wonderful fountain which
you can see in the photo. Back in the 50's Pittsburgh was terribly
polluted - to the point of people leaving lights on at noon due to the
pollution. But it is now really lovely - very hilly and lots of trees.
