March 10 - Marie Selby Botanical Garden
and visits with relatives

On Wednesday, we drove to Clearwater to have lunch with Ruth. Char and John drove down from their place in Zephyrhills to join us for lunch. Then we all paid a visit to the Biltmore Hotel, where Otis lived during his basic training during World War II. The front of it has been remodeled with a modern glass lobby, while the interior has retained its wonderful old charm.

When we left Clearwater, we drove down to Port Charlotte to have dinner with Helen and Don, stopping at the marvelous Marie Selby Botanical Garden in Sarasota on the way.
