EPIC LIMERICK ON THE OCCASION OF DON'S RETURN TO CIVILIAN LIFE

To his orders he gave close adherence,
For his job needs security clearance.
When he left back in Jan,
We said "Don is our man."
Then we noted his long disappearance.

First they said he'd be back very soon,
But ere long they did sure change their tune.
We'll just keep him, you see,
For two months, maybe three,
Or through April and May and then June.

What he did there we'll never be sure,
Or if hardships he had to endure,
For the NSA keeps
A low profile --- no peeps.
But he's finally finished his tour!

His return has been welcomed by all.
Now I'll see less of Fred in my hall
Asking "When will Don be
Back and working for me?"
For the Navy has ended its call.

And of course there are people in Troy
Who have greeted his return with joy.
For Don's kids and wife Sue
Have long had to make do
Without CS's best Navy boy.

So together let's give him three cheers
As we all raise our voices and beers.
We are glad you've returned
And we hope that you've learned
Stay in back when they want volunteers.
